"24/7 Art Production" - Kassel/Germany 23.06 - 04.08.2007 Supporting program of the documenta 12   PROJECT : 24/7artproduction is for sure one of the most interesting projects within the supporting program of the documenta 12. One of the initiators Dustin Schenk, a young artist from Kassel place a transparent atelier in the centre of the Kulturbahnhof Kassel. Next to the atelier is a stage and a auditorium. The stage is used to sell the pieces of art weekly on an auction. Through the duration of the project there will be invited artist from whole Germany working in the atelier.   ASPECTS: The artist producing art is the main part of the exhibition. The biggest part of art, that is invisible in most exhibition, the work that leads to a piece of art is the centre of the exhibition. It refers to a wider tendency nowadays: the exhibition of work. Many people work in huge glass buildings and display there work like in a shop window. Beside that the project creates a situation where the visitors can watch the artist out of a save distance. He becomes the object of the analysis of the visitors. The watching, analysing and judging without getting involved.
